Who We Are

At Guardian Personal Safety Training, we believe that safety doesn’t happen by accident. Our mission is to equip individuals and organisations with the tools they need to prevent, de-escalate, and respond to occupational violence and aggression, whether in healthcare, community services, retail, education, or beyond.

Founded by Intensive Care Paramedics with first-hand experience of workplace violence, Guardian was built on a deep understanding of the emotional and physical toll that aggression can take. Today, we deliver trauma-informed, scenario-based training that empowers staff to stay calm, act decisively, and maintain professional boundaries in high-stakes environments.

Guardian is more than a training provider, we’re a partner in your safety culture. We work closely with clients to ensure that training aligns with organisational values, client-specific requirements, and evolving psychosocial safety standards.

Our passion is focused squarely on providing tools, resources, and education that empower staff to stay safe, confident, and prepared.

What Makes Us Different?

Guardian isn’t just another training provider; we’re a purpose-built team with frontline experience and a deep commitment to safety, professionalism, and trauma-informed practice. Every member of our training team comes from industries where safety is non-negotiable: paramedicine, policing, military service, and other high-pressure environments. We know what it’s like to face aggression, make split-second decisions, and support vulnerable people, because we’ve lived it.

Here’s what sets Guardian apart:

Frontline Experience, Trauma-Informed Delivery
Our facilitators bring real-world insight into every session. We understand the emotional toll of occupational violence and the importance of psychological safety, for staff and clients alike. That’s why our training is grounded in empathy, evidence, and lived experience.

Tailored, Sector-Specific Content
We don’t do generic. Every course is customised to reflect your industry, your client base, and your organisational values. Whether you work in healthcare, education, retail, or community services, we design training that fits your context and meets your compliance needs.

Practical, Engaging Learning
We use adult learning principles, scenario-based exercises, and dynamic pacing to keep sessions relevant and energising. Physical skills are taught with clarity and care, using proven scaffolding techniques that build confidence and competence.

Ethical Use of Lived Experience
We value personal stories, but we teach our trainers to use them purposefully and safely. Our approach ensures that self-disclosure supports learning without triggering trauma or derailing session flow. We always centre the client’s needs and the integrity of the content.
